Established on May 10th, 2018, under the Indian Trustee Act of 1962, our organization is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and communities.

Vision & Mission

The International Human Rights Commission and Council, we has been set up by an Act of Indian Trustee  Act, 1962 for the protection and promotion of human rights. The functions of the Commission and Council as stated in Section 12 of the Act and apart from inquiry into complaints of violation of human rights or negligence in the prevention of such violation by a public servant, the Commission and Council also studies treaties and international instruments on human rights and make recommendations for their effective implementation to the Society. Purpose:

• To protect human rights and raise awareness.
• To protect the rights of women, children, the elderly and the disabled.
• To play a role in education, health, environment and social development.
• To provide legal assistance.
• To take action against human trafficking, torture and discrimination.

• The committee will be reconstituted every 1 year through election/nomination.

Membership

• General members: Those who support the objectives of the organization and participate in regular activities.
• Executive members: Elected individuals who are involved in the management of the organization.
• To become a member, the prescribed form must be filled and the proposed membership fee must be paid.
• If any member is involved in anti-human rights or criminal activities, the membership is subject to cancellation.

Meeting

• Monthly meetings will be held.
• Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held every year.
• Attendance of members at the meeting is mandatory.
• Decisions of the meeting will be taken by majority vote.

Finance

• Membership fees, grants, donations and subscriptions are the main sources of income of the organization.
• All expenses should be in line with the objectives of the organization.
• Transparency in financial transactions should be maintained and annual audit is mandatory.
